The Concrete Kits for Kids program introduces the concept of concrete to students in elementary and high school. With this program, we hope to not only show the children that Engineering and Construction can be interesting fields, but they will also be able to experience science with a hands-on approach.
The ACI tries to visit at least 2 schools per year. This is geared for the 6th grade level, although the ACI can present to other grade levels should the school find this program complimentary to a science course at the other grade levels.
Some of the schools that we have visited since 2004 are: Holy Cross Lake Castle St. Rosalie Stuart Hall
If there is a school that could benefit from this program, or to receive more information, please e-mail the ACI Chapter of Louisiana! |
